Run 30: My Schedule Is Starting To Get Whacky

Description

Nothing like a no-nonsense 7 mile run to keep the legs fresh and the motivation high. I think I am beginning to understand the whole “runner’s high” thing, but I will keep you posted…

Thoughts

This was a simple no-nonsense 7 mile run at a steady pace to get the legs nice and loose before the half marathon tomorrow. The run felt slightly hard, with my legs being a bit heavy, but overall my pace was good. My goal for the marathon is to fun at an 8 mile pace, so I have a bit more work to get to that mark over the next 2 months until then.

In other news, I joined a gym today and worked out with weights for the first time in a month: and it felt FANTASTIC. I missed how it felt to use my body in that way, and I am going to attempt to incorporate weight training during this marathon training. Hopefully I am able to find a time to fit in legs during this training.
